Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Peer Mentorship Program:

for uOttawa Medical Students

Over 100 mentors are ready to support our students based on shared lived experiences so that they can feel supported throughout their medical school journey.

About EDI Peer Support Program

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) related concerns such as racism and discrimination experienced by medical students from all walks of life can make student experiences through medicine particularly challenging, and is often a topic left unaddressed.

Students going through a challenging time in life, whatever the topic, will be matched with students who have had similar life experiences. This will help students feel understood and supported, improve student morale, reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem and confidence, and much more
